Recently I’ve been lucky enough to be gifted some amazing beauty products to review for you all! I absolutely love reviewing beauty products as us girls do love to pamper ourselves and I don’t mind being the guinea pig to test them out for us all!
The first one I’m going to talk about is ‘The Coffee Scrub‘. I received a coconut flavoured one and boy was it amazing! You open up the bag and it looks like dirt, but God it smells AMAZING! It’s very strong, so if you don’t like coffee I wouldn’t recommend it. I took 2 small scoops out the bag and started on my legs moving my hands in circular motions, scrubbing away. A big amount goes a long way so don’t use too much! Once I had scrubbed my legs I moved up to my belly, arms, chest and attempted to do my back – I think I managed to stretch my arm round. This stuff is amazing! It’s a lot better than the usual Body Shop scrubs. I mean the Body Shop ones do smelling amazing too but this coffee scrub feels like you’re getting down and dirty and really getting the dead skin off. Bare in mind though that you really need to wash it off properly afterwards! Even after the shower I was finding speckles of coffee in places like my belly button! When I had dried off i instantly saw and felt a difference. My skin was glowing and felt so so soft! Never have I ever experienced an outcome like that with a scrub. This is definitely going to be a part of my beauty regime. It says on the packet to use once or twice a week, so I think I’m going to start using it twice a week! I’m dead happy with the results so head over to their site and see what it’s all about!
Next up is Clayspray! Now this stuff was really interesting, I had never heard of the product before or anything like it for that matter. When I spoke to my beauty therapist friend about it she knew all about it as she uses it in facials, so a definite high end product. This specific Clayspray product was ‘White Clay‘ which focuses on removing dead cells and impurities revealing younger softer looking skin. The skin on my face can be pretty sensitive to some products but this specific one is chemical free and suitable for reactive, redness-prone and flaky skin. It’s over 95% natural and easy to use. All you do is prep your clean skin with the H2O spray, then squeeze a little of the Clayspray on your face. Now I used my fingers to spread the clay evenly across my face, starting from my nose and working outwards. Once I applied a thin layer I let it set for about 10/15 minutes. Now I didn’t realise how rock solid my face would go! It was rather amusing trying to talk to my boyfriend . So because he found it funny, I decided to apply some on his face to experience the hardness. If your face does feel tight though you can just spray the H2O and it will loosen it up for you. When I washed it off I just kept soaking my face gently with lots of water and using cotton pads to take it off, trying not to scrub. I did find that my skin went slightly blotchy, but it was so so soft! I definitely feel like it got into all my pores and gave them a good clean. A few days after using it, I can still feel the difference. Especially on my cheeks, they’re so smooth like a baby’s bum. Everyone needs to try out this product. It’s different to a usual moisturiser or exfoliater, I find it really gets right in and the results are much more noticeable. I am definitely going to do a clay mask once a week within my beauty regime.
Lastly I recieved a few hair products from Look Fantastic. They were by Paul Mitchell – a fab hair range. My little sister uses their frizz ease spray and absolutely loves it as it really controls her hair. I never ever know what shampoo and conditioner to get. I did go through a phase of using a Shwarzkopf range focusing on repairing damaged hair but then I got the chop. I always end up getting whatever is cheapest now just to save money, even though I know I should invest in good products. I tried and tested Paul Mitchell’s Lemon Sage Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner and boy is it amazing!! They both smell great, and when I lavered up the shampoo on my head I could feel like I was going to have great results. And I did! I always let my hair dry over night as I find it never styles nicely when I blow dry it. Anyway when I woke up the day after my hair felt like it had life. It looked glossy and so much thicker! I was amazed at how a shampoo and conditioner could do that! I don’t like washing my hair every night so on the 2nd day after using the products my hair was still the same. It wasn’t as flat as it usually is, it had a little lift to it. So glad Look Fantastic asked me to try these products out because I’ve now found a shampoo and conditioner that work for my hair type – thin, flat and static.
Because I have coloured hair, they also sent me a few colour treatment products to keep the colour in. I’m holding off on trying these out at the moment though as my hair colour has faded quite a bit and the weather is a bit dull. I’m due for an update of colour soon though so once I’ve done it and the sun comes out I’ll see if these Paul Mitchell products can keep the colour in. From the results of their shampoo and conditioner I’m sure they’re going to be fab!
I hope I’ve inspired your beauty regime – who’s tempted to try these products?
Peace
x
