I celebrated my 25th birthday last week – can’t believe I’m 25! Where does the time go? I always struggle to know what to do for my birthday, and always end up trying to plan something extravagant. But do you know what, the simpler the plans, the better.
I went out for dinner with my family to Le Bouchon, Heybridge, a really nice A La Carte restaurants. My Mum had surprised me by taking my presents, flowers and balloons to the restaurants before I had arrived, which was so lovely!
For dinner I had Pate for starters, Steak for my main and Cheesecake for dessert – cheesecake is definitely one of my weaknesses. A nice surprise during the evening was actually a magician that turned up, his tricks were insane! He was very, very good at slight of hand.
That was just the first part of my birthday. The next day I headed back to London and 3 of my girls popped over and I celebrated my birthday joint with one of them. We got dulled up, took some snaps and headed out for dinner to Eco, Clapham. It was an Italian style restaurant which is another one of my faves. I might have shared a huge anti-pasti platter with one of the girls…. I’d definitely head back to this restaurant. The food was fab and it was really affordable.
After our meal we headed to Dirty Martini on Clapham High St for some cocktails! I’ve always wanted to go there before for a night out as I had heard their drinks were delicious. It was so handy as well for me to get to as I’m only in Wandsworth.
We managed to get a little section to ourselves for the evening so us girls could have a proper catch up over some cocktails. I tried the Passionfruit Martini and The Diva – both gin based cocktails as I’m a huge gin fan – and they were so nice!! I sometimes find cocktails too strong, but they were just right.
I’d definitely recommend heading to Dirty Martini if you’re based down south. The DJs play really good music too so you can even have a boogie if you want.
So that was day 2 of my birthday celebrations. On the third day I popped into central with the BF and we went shopping, out for lunch to Flat Iron and to the Shard for a cocktail! It was a really lovely day, and the best bit was the steak at Flat Iron!!
It didn’t end there. On my actual birthday on the 12th, I had work but we nipped out for some quick grub to Dirty Bones, Kingly Court. I think I was pretty stuffed from all of the food I’d eaten over the past few days so I couldn’t manage to finish my Mac & Cheese Burger! However, I did manage to eat a slice of Rainbow cake the BF had got me as a treat!
All in all, a fab birthday!
Peace
x
