NOT ANOTHER SALON - Sophie Hannah

This weekend I headed to East London to check out a new Salon down Brick Lane and I was mega excited after seeing their Instagram feed and all of the coloured hair they had created.

When I arrived at the salon I couldn’t stop looking around, there were so many creative elements to the decor. I absolutely loved the look and feel they went for and it was very me. I’ve struggled in London to find a hairdressers that suits my look but finally I’ve found one.

Sophia Hilton is the face behind the brand and she was there to greet me with her fabulous yellow locks. For my hair I was still wanting to keep it green – I feel like I can’t change it now as people know me to have green hair. So I was looking to get my roots touched up and for a more ombre look with dark green starting at the top working into yellow. I had tried to do this myself at home but because my hair is pretty much stained green it went lime.

The team started by bleaching my roots and trying to get rid of as much green as possible to start with a clean slate. And then the real magic started to happen. 3 colours were applied to my hair and bled into each other. It looked so exciting when it was being done, the photo below is pretty cool as I basically had 2 people doing my hair who had green and yellow locks which together was what I was getting done.

After the colour I had a bit of a trim to get my locks all refreshed. I was really pleased with the finished outcome. It was hard to get the ends bright yellow as my hair underneath still had green pigments, but you can see a nice blend of the 3 colours and it all works.

I would definitely recommend them if you’re wanting to become a unicorn or a mermaid. They have so many colours and ideas to help you! The team were all really welcoming and friendly and the whole place just had a wicked atmosphere.
