This season I attended London Fashion Week on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday through my blog. It was a nice change to last season as I had to work it all weekend. I received quite a few tickets to shows, but with Fashion Week being all over London I found it difficult to go to all of them. However the ones I did attend we’re amazing!
DAY ONE
Day one started off with me getting my hair braided by Mark Hill at The Apartment; basically a really cool blogger hangout. I managed to shoot my outfit here for you all to see and this is where I met up with a couple of my blogger friends. After catching up with everyone and eating every blue fizzy bottle in sight (they’re my favourite) I popped off with Charlotte Hole (blogger of CH32) to backstage at PPQ.
I had been invited by Models Own to check out their brand new makeup range! It was so exciting as no-one had seen it before and it was the first time the collection had been used. We got to chat to the MUA, Liz Martin about the look she had created for PPQ and her thoughts on Models Own makeup. Liz was such a lovely lady and was really helpful and informative in her answers when we questioned her. It was such a fun few hours seeing how the show came together backstage.
After PPQ we headed over to Freemason’s to catch the Pam Hogg show. It was absolutely freezing outside and unfortunately it was running behind; however it was well worth the wait. The collection was unreal! Denim, studs, bright colours and stars summed up the collection and it had a very David Bowie vibe to it.
DAY TWO
On day two I was actually taking part in an Instagram takeover with Daisy Dixon Watches. As you can see I was wearing their Rosie watch in Silver and Slim Mink; which was so helpful to have on the day as it kept me on schedule for all of my shows.
My first stop on the second day was backstage to Julien Macdonald! I was so excited about this as L’oreal had asked me to attend to check out the hair and makeup. When I arrived the models had just left for a rehearsal which was a shame, however I got to chat to the PR girls about the looks that had been created for the runway and it was exciting being in the hustle of everything. I was then given a spare ticket to see the show, which was even more exciting! The collection was beautiful with lots of embellishment and evening style dresses. The setting was stunning too in an old church style building.
I also popped back to The Apartment on the second day to chill out again and catch up with a few more bloggers. Here’s what I wore on the Saturday to LFW.
The second show I managed to catch on Saturday was Ashley Isham and I fell in love with the makeup! Every model featured this beautiful silver, black and gold lace artwork around their eyes and cheeks. Very, very cool!
DAY THREE
On my final day of LFW, I just headed down to catch Vivienne Westwood’s show! I know! I couldn’t believe I had been invited through my blog to it! I absolutely love her individuality and what her clothes stand for. The show didn’t disappoint! It was instantly recognisable as Vivienne Westwood and there were some amazing pieces.
Here’s my third and final outfit I wore. I had to get the trainers out on the final day as my feet were in agony from the heels!
