HIDEOUT FESTIVAL ACCOMMODATION

Travel
Some of you may have seen that I just got back from Croatia with Charlotte Hole (CH32). We were sent out there by Rokit Vintage to attend Hideout Festival on the Isle of Pag. I’d never been to Croatia before or even that festival, so it was amazing getting the chance to travel somewhere new.

The festival was really well organised; I have to shout about that. Hideout festivals website has every single bit of information you will need: how to get there, how to get around, where to stay etc. So it’s greatly helpful that Hideout pretty much does your whole booking for you, even your transfers!
When looking at where to stay for Hideout, as it’s not a camping festival, we looked at many options. The closest town is Novaljo, so it obviously makes sense to everyone to stay there, but you don’t need to. If you check out Hideout’s shuttle bus routes you can see that there are many other places you can stay and they’re not far at all from the festival site. And with buses going every 30-60 minutes you’re never waiting around.
We chose to stay in a tiny town called Metajna; the last stop on the green route for the shuttle buses. It said transfer time was around 20-30 minutes and it was. It didn’t feel like it took that long and we always got a seat which was a bonus.
Metajna was a small town, only 2-3 restaurants (that we saw), 2 little shops and a little strip for the beach where the main centre was. It was very tiny, but it was so beautiful and so quiet. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Hideout festival then I’d definitely recommend staying there. Charlotte and I stayed in an apartment booked via Air BnB and it was stunning. All of the apartments overlook the ocean and you can catch the sunset on the little jettys that go out into the sea. There’s even secret beaches to explore around the town so if you’re into doing a few more things as well as the festival, I’d definitely recommend going to that little town. You won’t be disappointed.
