DIMENSIONS FESTIVAL 2016

Lifestyle

I was lucky enough to be taken to Dimensions Festival in Pula, Croatia with Rokit Vintage a few weeks ago. I was sent to review the festival and style up some vintage pieces into my festival looks. Dimensions Festival is an underground, electronic music festival based in an abandoned fort where Outlook Festival is held; Outlook actually runs the week after Dimensions Festival. If you’ve kept up with my blog you would have seen I went to another Croatian festival at the beginning with summer with Rokit Vintage and so I was so excited when they asked me to attend another. I was really looking forward to seeing what Dimensions Festival was all about as it’s only been running for 5 years.

On the Dimensions site you have a beach where there is music during the day and then he fort is open during the evening. There is also the option to camp as well but because the last time I was in Croatia it was 35 degrees, I didn’t feel like melting the whole time, so my friend and I booked an apartment nearby. We booked via booking.com and stayed at the Moderno Apartments in Valbandon. It was literally a 5 minute drive to the festival or a 40 minute walk. There is a tiny town called Stinjan right next to Dimensions though so if you’re hoping to stay in an apartment I’d definitely recommend booking early and staying there as our cab fares got quite pricey over the 4 days as we were going back and forth to the festival about 4 times a day. If you can get in a metered cab, do it! They’re much cheaper! And if you’re jumping in a cab at the taxi rank outside the festival make sure you agree a price before you begin your journey.

I absolutely loved the vibe that this festival had. It was so chilled during the day with everyone sunbathing on the beach and listening to live music and then there were a few hours in the evening for yourself to get ready, pre drink, have some dinner and then head back to the festival later on.

I was surprised at the amount of people that didn’t dress up though; I was basically the only one! There were girls with glitter on their faces but not as much as you see here in the UK. Most people dressed really chilled and didn’t put much effort in, as they were there to enjoy the music. I on the other hand can’t help but dress up and go full out with my festival attire.

The festival itself during the evening was pretty cool with various different stages set inside and around the fort. It was cleverly put together and I loved what they did with the lighting and graffiti.

This is a festival I’d definitely go to again. It had everything you wanted there: sun, sea, good music and g&ts!
