I love a sequin dress. Well to be honest I love anything with sequins! And now I can sparkle all day long as I’ve discovered a fabulous way of getting away with wearing a sequin dress for the day.
Denim, denim, denim! Whoever thought styling a sequin dress over denim could create a wearable day look. Sequin dresses make the perfect evening outfit, especially for the party season. But what if you want to add a touch of sparkle to your day too? I’ve styled this green sequin slip dress with ripped denim jeans and it’s toned down the whole outfit and made it much more casual. A pair of boots, a faux fur coat and some fabulous glitter earrings later and I’m ready to head out.
Who said we can’t wear sequins in the day? I love wearing statement pieces within an outfit; however, sometimes you can feel a little bit overdressed. But with my styling tip of adding denim jeans into the look, you’ll be dressed down and ready to go in no time.
This outfit would make a great transitional look too. For example, if you’ve got your Christmas party after work but don’t have time to head home to change or want to carry around another outfit; slip off the jeans and boots and slip on a pair of killer heels. You’ll instantly look party ready!
