PARTY MAKEUP AND HAIR

Beauty

Looking for party makeup and hair inspiration? Well you’ve come to the right place! You know I’m a big fan of creating beauty looks using face gems and glitter; and with Christmas and NYE just around the corner, I thought I’d create a variety of looks to inspire you all.

This party makeup and hair will be coming to my YouTube channel very soon as party of a ‘Christmas Party Get Ready With Me’ video – so keep your eyes peeled for that if you’re interested in recreating this look.

Whenever I get creative with glitter and face gems, I tend to just go for it. I’m not one to test run ideas, I prefer to go with the flow. This look didn’t turn out how I had intended it to, but I still love what I created! I had originally thought of putting the gems on my actual eye lids,  but then it turned into sticking them on the gap between my brow and lid. It’s simple and different, but I kind of like it. When it comes to party makeup and hair, I have to be the sparkliest person on the dance floor so glitte and gems are a must.

EYE MAKEUP

When it came to creating the eye makeup, I focused on creating a smokey eye first, before applying the gems using Go Get Glitter’s glue. I placed 3 gems on the inner corner of both eyes, followed by alternating star and circle gems below my brows, guided by my eye shape.

HAIR

With my hair, I created my go-to waves using hair straightners; you drag the straightners down your hair and keep twisting back and forth to create the look. Because I didn’t opt for any glitter on my face, I put lots in my hair. I flicked my hair over to one side and used hair grips to secure a flat section behind my ear. I then applied hair gel on the flat part tucked behind my ear, as this was what was going to keep the glitter in place.

Once the gel was applied, I then used a brush to sprinkle and place glitter on top of the gel. The glitter I didn’t feel was enough though, so I also stuck on some sequins. To secure these in place, I added a dab of gel to the sequin before sticking it onto my hair. I created a cluster of sequins closer to my forehead, before spacing them out the further my hair went back.

To finish off the look, I popped my go-to blue lipstick on from NYX. And voila! I’m party ready!
