HOTEL BAUCHAUMONT, PARIS

As you may know I was invited to Paris with Claire’s in January 2017, where we stayed at Hotel Bauchaumont in the heart of the city. The hotel was weirdly located right next to a salon I had previously been to when I took a trip to Paris last year. It was tucked down a quiet little side road and you wouldn’t really have known it was a hotel as it’s restaurant was situated right at the front.

As you entered through these big black doors, you were welcomed into a beautiful monochrome lobby that led you to the reception desk at the back. We were all allocated our own double room which was lovely; and mine was located on the seventh floor. I didn’t realise that a lot of the buildings in Paris are built rectangular with the centre missing; so when you look out of your window you look on to everyone else’s rooms and directly down is either a courtyard or the ground floor roof. When looking down outside my window you could see the glass roof of the hotel’s restaurant.

The rooms were very inviting, bright and clean. It was actually perfect for me as the colour scheme was turquoise, so it basically matched my hair! I loved how spacious they made the room feel, even though it was on the small side. But if you’re in Paris, you’re never really going to spend much time in your hotel room.

I only spent one night in Hotel Bauchaumont, but it was enough time to experience it and I would definitely stay there again. The beds were really comfy, their decor is so instagrammable, the complimentary breakfast was perfect and we even ate lunch at the hotel too which was delicious. If you go there you’ve got to try the chicken and truffle mash! If I had to pick one fault, it was that I struggled turning the heating up in my room. I should have phoned reception to sort it out, but instead I just slept through it, but it was fine!
