Did you know I’ve also got a YouTube channel? It’s something I want to grow this year as recently I’ve felt a little bit like I don’t really know where I’m going with it. I’ve been on YouTube for about 2 years now and it’s a difficult one to crack. I feel like I put a lot of effort into my content and it’s never really seen. I also think that a lot of my videos are just to music, which is great if it’s a travel montage but YouTube I’ve realised is a place where people want to know the real you. They want to engage with you. I guess it’s because it’s somewhere people spend a lot of time and are willing to watch minutes of people’s content.
I’ve started having a little think about my YouTube channel and I feel like I want to show a bit more of my personality, but also have some sort of consistency with the content. So I thought I would start introducing a weekly vlog every Tuesday. I’m currently filming my first one right now, so if you’d like to see, tune in next Tuesday evening!
Last year I was involved in lots of cool opportunities and I travelled to lots of cool places so documenting my journey would be something really lovely to look back over at the end of 2017. But also share with all of you lovely lot! I want to share my personality with you and give you more of an insight into my everyday. It’s difficult with social channels as it’s well thought content that I create and it’s all scheduled in to go live at specific times so it’s not really real. I also thought a weekly vlog would grow my confidence on camera. I always tend to opt for non speaking videos when creating content as I feel much more comfortable that way. But hopefully with the weekly vlog, things will change on my YouTube channel! I am going to stick to my schedule of uploading every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday so on the other two days expect to see some sort of fashion or beauty themed video!
