OMBRE HAIR DYE

You all know how much I love hair dye; and since my recent SPLIT HAIR YouTube video basically went viral I thought I would try and film more hair dye tutorials. In my most recent video I show you how you can achieve a subtle blue/indigo ombre using Arctic Fox in Poseidon and L’oreal Colorista in my shade Indigo. 
Yes, that is me on the front of the Colorista box! Crazy I know! I am going to be creating a blog post all about that collaboration in a few weeks so make sure you look out for it!

You all know I love blue hues so that’s why I stuck to two similar shades; so that when the semi-permanent hair dyes fade, I won’t be left with uneven hair. Blue hair dyes usually end up fading to a pastel mint colour on my hair.

THE PROCESS
I began at the roots applying the Arctic Fox shade and I blended this down to about half way. I did this over the whole of my hair. The next step was to blend the Colorista shade in with the Arctic Fox. To do this I used my fingers and put the hair in between and moved my fingers up and down. This merged the two shades together to hopefully achieve a nice subtle transition. Lastly I covered the ends of my hair in Colorista. It says to leave the dye on for about 15-20 minutes, however I left it on for 45 minutes as I wanted a much deeper colour and for it to last a little longer.
