2017 FESTIVALS

Lifestyle

Are you all as excited as I am about 2017 FESTIVALS?! If you’ve followed me since last summer you would have seen how much I love the festival season, dressing in fabulous sparkly clothes and getting glittered up.

Lots of 2017 festivals have started announcing their line ups recently and it’s got me thinking about which ones I really want to attend. Last year I went to quite a few festivals: Lovebox, Citadel, Hideout, Dimensions, V Festival, Secret Garden Party to name a few! My favourite had to be SGP purely because the actual festival itself was amazing. There were so many quirky things going on and so much to do that you never got bored! This year I want to discover even more festivals that focus more on the festival than the music. For example V Festival is all about the music and trying to get the biggest commercial headliners, whereas there’s other festivals like SGP that still have good music, but they spend more time on creating an experience for you. With that in mind, I wanted to share my 2017 festivals bucket list with you.

COACHELLA – 14th April to 23rd April 2017
Coachella is set in Palm Springs, one of my favourite places ever! I went a few summers ago and I loved it. The weather is lush and the backdrop is beautiful, the little town is set within a valley. I’ve had my eyes on attending Coachella for a few years now and I’m actually hoping to be going this year with a brand… Fingers crossed! All will be revealed soon!

GOTTWOOD – 8th to 11th June 2017
Gottwood is an electronics and arts festival based in Wales, UK. I’ve never attended this festival before, but it looks right up my street. It looks quite similar to SGP as in they really dress up the open space and collaborate with many artists to create beautiful installations.

SOMERLY TEA PARTY – 2nd – 4th June 2017
The Somerley Tea Party is a boutique electronic music & arts festival set in the enchanting grounds of Old Somerley and it’s surrounding woodland on the outskirts of the New Forest. This festival had the likes of Annie Mac headlining in 2016 and focuses again on creating a unique experience for it’s festival goers.

BOOMTOWN – 10th to 13th August 2017
Boomtown is a festival I’ve been wanting to go to for a few years. I’m gutted I missed the opportunity last year, but it’s on my festival bucket list this year. It looks absolutely amazing, I love how the festival have created a little town for everyone to party in.

GLASTONBURY – 21st to 25th June 2017
I think this is a festival everyone needs to experience once in their life. I’ve heard so many great things about it! I’ve never got round to attending before, but I’m hoping this year I might get the chance.

BLISSFIELDS – 6th-8th July 2017
This festival is actually on my list and I’m going!! It’s the third festival I have confirmed this summer and I can’t wait. They call it a house party and it looks awesome! So many fun things seem to go on at this festival, so I can’t wait to experience it this summer.

SHAMBALA – 24th August to 27th August 2017
Now this festival looks amazing! Everyone dresses up, there’s so many quirky things going on around the festival, I even spotted a blue mermaid in their 2016 festival after movie, and it just looks like so much fun! I would definitely check this out if you haven’t heard of it before.

BESTIVAL – 7th to 10th September 2017
Bestival has always been one I’ve wanted to attend. I was given the opportunity to last year but I couldn’t make it…. Gutted! I’m hoping this year I’m offered the same opportunity and I can actually go as it looks really cool, and their line up is always fab.

SECRET GARDEN PARTY – 20th to 23rd July 2017
I went to this festival last year and it was honestly AMAZING! I have already planned to go back this year, because I had the best time. You can read about my experience right here.

BURNING MAN – 27th August to 4th September 2017
OMG this festival looks unreal! I’ve heard great things about it and I dream of experiencing it one day. It’s set in the middle of the desert, artists create mobile art installations that share music for everyone to hear, everyone dresses up in fabulous outfits and I’ve heard money doesn’t exist, everyone trades!

So they’re my top 2017 festivals I’m hoping to go to this summer! What are yours? Or have any of you attended any of the ones above? If so, I’d LOVE to hear about your experience!

Peace
