MINE & ROBIN’S 8 YEAR ANNIVERSARY

It’s crazy to think Robin and I have been going out for 8 years! We celebrated our 8 year anniversary on the 17th January 2017, and this year we kept it low key as I was off to Paris really early the next day. We popped out for a scrummy lunch at a cute tea room in Colchester town and then in the evening we tried out a restaurant we’d walked past for years but never actually gone into eat. You can see a little bit more of what we got up to in my recent Weekly Vlog below. 

8 years! It still doesn’t seem real; it sounds like such a long time. It’s funny looking back on old photos and seeing how much we have changed over the years. You don’t really notice it when you see someone all the time. We’ve been through so much together as well; mainly with me and my dramatic life. Robin seems to have it really easy; bless him for putting up with me! It was actually really nice keeping it low key this year as last year we really splashed out. We dined in a very pricey restaurant in London and spent about five times the amount we’d usually spend on a meal out. But hey you know it was a special occasion. We also had someone else to think about this year… Little Luna! We didn’t want to go off and leave her alone for the whole day, so it worked spending it around our hometown.

We’re both really excited to see what this 8th year of being together will bring too. Robin has recently left his job to freelance and help me out with my blog so it’s a really exciting time for us! It’s so nice that we can work together on something. Robin has also started his own Instagram and soon YouTube so we’re becoming quite the blogger couple now! It’ll be nice that we will have more time to do things this year and hopefully travel a little more. Robin’s job at Sky Sports where he just left meant he worked lots of long hours, late nights and weekends so most the time he wasn’t really around to do things. But now we’re both freelance I’m looking forward to spending more time together.
