WHAT TO PACK FOR SKIING

Fashion

This might be a bit of a late blog post, but since I went skiing recently and had no clue on what to pack, I thought it would be a really handy blog post to put together. I’ve been skiing a few times in my life, I don’t count when I was a kid, because all I probably did was roll around in the snow! I’ve properly been twice, once with my school when I was about 16 and then again a few weeks ago With Robin, his mum and sister. When I went skiing with my school, I remember they hosted an evening for us where we could purchase our ski wear and even gave us a list of what we would need. But this time round I was so clueless. I think I was more bothered about looking stylish on the slopes – I had to make sure I had an Instagrammable outfit didn’t I! Now knowing what I needed to pack for skiing, I thought I’d make this post for myself in the future and any of you planning to go.

WHAT TO PACK FOR SKIING

Now it might not look like a long list, but you need to remember all of the above if you want to be prepared. Shops that I found really useful when purchasing all the above was: Topshop for a stylish ski outfit, Sports Direct for gloves and Mountain Warehouse for pretty much everything else. I had a few bits myself like sunglasses, sunscreen and a small backpack, but I did have to purchase my whole ski gear. Skiing is a little pricey, so it’s best to get good gear that you know you can reuse. We were lucky because Mountain Warehouse actually had a sale on at the time we went shopping! Don’t you just love it when that happens.  I was really impressed with the Ski Jacket and Trousers from Topshop; it was really warm, fitted me well and featured everything you’d want from zip pockets, trouser lining with velcro to stop the snow from getting in and a detachable hood. I got lots of compliments on the slopes because of what I was wearing! I opted for their silver and white camo two piece because I thought it would make my blue hair stand out against the white, snowy backdrop. It’s really important to find something comfortable to wear, because you’re in that outfit for a good few days, moving about lots. Sometimes the weather isn’t on your side either and you can be skiing in minus degrees, so always make sure you’ve got some nice fleecy layers packed in your suitcase. I think that’s all of the important bits you need to know for what to pack if you’re going skiing. I hope my list has helped! Any questions you might have, feel free to comment below.
