ISLE OF WIGHT FESTIVAL 2017

Lifestyle

You might have seen that I attended Isle of Wight festival this year with Palladium boots. It was my first time at the festival and also Isle of Wight itself. Robin came along with me and we started our weekend with a little road trip down to Portsmouth to catch the ferry. I don’t remember the last time I caught a ferry but it was really easy to do and I couldn’t believe how quickly we reached the island. I think it took around 40 minutes.

When we got to the other side we were worried as we had no idea where we were going, but luckily the festival was sign posted. It took about 20 minutes to drive from the ferry port to the VIP car park at the festival. When we arrived we got our wristbands and headed to our camping. Palladium had organised us a luxury glamping option of a Teepee tent, which I was SO excited about as I had never glamped before. It was well worth it because we got a lot of space, mattresses, electricity and showers and the Teepee site was so instagrammable.

Robin and I were joined by Kitty, Skai, Gabriele, Tommy and the Palladium team and we had such a blast. The festival was much bigger than I had expected. Tonnes of food options, fairground rides and about five or six stages. The music was quite varied over the weekend with a few commercial acts mixed amongst bands that played anything from rock to pop. There weren’t a lot of acts that we wanted to see but it didn’t matter as there was lots to see and do. It was nice to chill out at the festival and take our time. I hate it when there’s so many good acts that you find yourself running around from stage to stage. Best act of the weekend had to be David Guetta. It was his only UK festival he was playing at in 2017! He really got the crowd going and had amazing visuals on stage with fireworks and smoke.

When it came to my festival fashion for the weekend I went all out. Palladium gave us a pair of their latest boots to wear: Palladium x Smiley collaboration, which were dead comfy and I styled these with sequins, face gems, glitter and sparkles. What do you all think of my festival looks? You can shop them here…

Overall I had a fab time at the festival and I think Robin did too. He normally hates festivals but he had a good time so thumbs up to Isle of Wight! We had amazing weather over the weekend which was a huge bonus and now I’m so excited for my next festival!
