VIRGIN V FESTIVAL WITH JBL

Lifestyle

My last festival for 2017 was Virgin V Festival and the audio brand JBL kindly took me along with them. I went to the Hylands Park, Chelmsford one as it’s only 20 minutes drive from my house, so it’s pretty much the perfect festival for me.
Before the festival I created a little bit of content for JBL across my social channels and one of the things I did was launch a competition on my Instagram for two pairs of friends to win tickets to V Festival AND a festival makeover from me. Quite a lot of you entered which was AMAZING and I was so excited to be able to offer the winners a glitter makeup look. I’m so used to doing my own makeup, so I thought it would make a really fun change. I also absolutely love meeting my followers as it’s so rewarding. It’s really hard when you just sit behind a phone or computer and see a number for the amount of followers; you can’t really get to grips with it. Like who are these people following you? Where do they live? Why are they following you? It’s questions I love to hear the answers to, and it enables me to do this when I meet you all.

JBL had a an area set up next to the MTV stage where I was based and giving my festival makeovers. The area was really chilled with sun loungers, a bar and fun game where you could win some of their audio equipment. If you haven’t checked them out, I’d definitely recommend you do. They have an amazing range of wireless speakers which you can connect up if you own more than one; and their wireless headphones are also amazing. I’ve got their blue pair and take them everywhere with me.

I had 4 of my followers to glitter up and I used my collaboration collection with The Gypsy Shrine to make them over. It was so much fun glittering them up and getting to know them. Once I’d finished my makeovers JBL said I was free to head off to explore the festival. I took Paige Joanna along with me and we had such a laugh. There was quite a lot of branded things going on at V Festival this year. Cadbury’s had a fun chocolate experience stand where they’d basically created an obstacle course – you can see more of this in my weekly vlog. We also saw some amazing music acts like Jess Glynne, The Vamps, Craig David and Pink! Yup, Pink! She’s finally made a come back and she was absolutely amazing! She bloody arrived on the stage by dropping in off a crane! She’s mental!

Paige and I spent all weekend at V Festival; watching acts, eating tasty food and going on a few rides. Regret the rides though… There was one we went on which was basically a waltzer within a waltzer. I thought it would be ok, but my god it was intense. And it went on FOREVER… That definitely left me spinning for a few days afterwards, I’m not gonna lie.

What do you all think about my V Festival fashion too? I didn’t want to go too overboard at V Festival as not many people go all out like they do at Secret Garden Party. It’s much more about the top chart acts at V Festival than the festival itself. You can shop both my looks below.

LOOK 1: Sequin Jacket (Charity Shop), Gems (The Gypsy Shrine), Trousers (I SAW IT FIRST) // LOOK 2: Coat (House of Jam), Boots (Cat Boots), Bag (Claires), Bralet (Hissy Fit), Trousers (Narlaka)

Overall I had a fab weekend at V Festival with JBL and just want to thank them for taking me along.

Peace
