BRIDESMAID GIFT BOX

Lifestyle

I loved the idea of a Bridesmaid gift box from when I stumbled across the idea on Pinterest. From gift boxes to cute wicker baskets, it got me thinking about making one for my Bridesmaids. I began doing a little bit of research into the types of gifts that brides popped into the hampers and made a list. From candles to monogrammed purses, there were so many ideas for me to pick from to create my very own bridesmaid gift box.

Looking at costings, I wasn’t going to be able to have every gift within the bridesmaid gift box, so I thought about picking the top ones I thought my girls would like. I also loved the idea of theming all the gifts along a colour, so I chose pink, one of the colours within the wedding palette. I started my search online to try and find affordable gifts and I ended up settling on the following:

Pink Instax Mini 9 Camera & paper – for the girls to take to the wedding and have a few keepsake memories in the form of instant photos

Monogram makeup bag – from Not On The High Street, in the girl’s favourite colours with their initials monogrammed on the front

Hotel Chocolat bar – in Eton Mess flavour as the chocolate was pink

Elegant Touch Nails – to wear on the day or to have for future days out

Makeup products – these were in the monogrammed makeup bag: highlight, lipstick, mascara

Claire’s Earrings – for them to wear on the day of the wedding

Pink Moet – a little treat for before or after the wedding

Personalised Mug – something I designed on Photoshop and got printed via Vista Print. A little keepsake with their name and date of wedding on

Card – to say thank you

Jo Malone Candle – in their favourite scents

Misoma Bracelet – ordered from their website, in silver, featuring the girls initials on the front and a fruit engraving on the back: watermelon & pineapple

bridesmaid gift box

To create the bridesmaid gift box I popped to a local wholesale florist shop in Essex where they had wicker baskets. I quite liked the idea of a hamper style gift box as there were just too many gifts to try and fit in a box. I couldn’t actually find one big enough! Using a hamper meant that the gifts could poke out and it didn’t matter. I popped pink tissue paper in the bottom so I could neatly place all the bridesmaid gifts on top. The only thing that didn’t fit in was the Jo Malone candles, but they had been gift wrapped and bagged when I purchased them so I left them to place next to the hampers on the wedding morning. The girls were so pleased with their bridesmaid gifts, and loved how I displayed them.
