On the 3rd day of my trip – the last full day in LA (sad face) – we headed over to Hollywood to go to Warner Brothers Studio and Hollywood Blvd where the famous walk of fame and chinese grauman theatre was based.
Again it was a bit of a drive from Anaheim over to Hollywood but always a fun drive as you can check out the amazing scenery on the way spotting cool places. I was so excited to visit Warner Brothers as I was eager to see if they were filming my favourite TV show Pretty Little Liars.
Warner Brothers Studio consisted of sitting in a big golf buggy and driving around the film and TV studios stopping along the way and having a mooch about. It was so cool walking on the same pavement that so many famous people had walked on too. It was even cooler seeing all the sets and really interesting to hear about who had filmed there. I didn’t realise how old one of the sets was! The original Annie film had been shot there! It was also cool to hear that this one film set had been used by thousands of films and TV shows, but you can never tell because the props and details are different when you watch them. For example Spiderman was filmed on the outside of the same building as Annie was filmed.
It was an anniversary for Batman so we got to see all of the original costumes and masks they used in the films AND the cars! They were literally unreal! And they were all driveable!
We also managed to take a sneak peek in the prop room too – SO much of everything and anything you could think of. From lights to sofas to wardrobes! This was where the crew would come and loan props for their sets.
On our way round I asked the drive if Pretty Little Liars was filming at the moment. His reply ‘Oh god, they film basically everyday, they’re always around here somewhere’. As soon as I heard that I jumped for joy and my eyes were on the look out! Then we drove past loads of big winnebagos and I thought yup, this must be their set. And that’s when I saw a pink golf buggy and SASHA PIETERSE!! It was so cool!! I had spotted Alison from Pretty Little Liars. Now that topped the whole experience off.
After all of that excitement it was off to Hollywood Blvd for some lunch. We took a pit stop at Mel’s Diner which is apparently the celeb hang out. There were tonnes of photos and magazine cut outs in frames in the restaurant with celebs photographed in the diner – Lindsay Lohan, the Kardashians – SO cool!
After being stuffed from a hot dog and milkshake we strolled down to the walk of fame to see the celebrity stars. It felt so weird being there as you never really know what to expect and I was there. Somewhere I had dreamt of. Chinese graumans theatre was also there so we got to stand in the exact spots famous people had imprinted their hands.
THEN! Yup there’s more! We fitted tonnes into our day. Last stop was the Hollywood sign. My boyfriends Dad had googled where the best place to see it was and found this random road, so we headed there and boy was it a good spot! Seeing the sign topped the day off.
The whole day was fab! It was so much fun and I had now been to even more places I had dreamt of!
LA was complete. Time for Vegas baby…
