LA : Disney Land - Sophie Hannah

I’M BACK!!!! Slowly recovering from jet lag and finally getting my first blog post up since my travels. Pretty sad that I’m back though to be honest. California was literally unreal, the weather was amazing and I miss it already. Why is America so much cooler than the UK?

My first stop in LA was Disney Land. Now I’ve never been fortunate enough to go so I was SO excited about it! We stayed in Anaheim right next to Disney, literally a 3 minute walk away from the entrance.

We got to Disney when it first opened. At 8am… Dead keen we were! But it was a good idea as we managed to get the most popular rides completed first, before it got busy and hot.

I fell in love with the whole atmosphere and setting I was in. It felt so real. All of the houses, shops, castles and rides had some much detail and thought put into it. I definitely wouldn’t have appreciated that as a child.

I obviously stopped off and had a few cheeky snaps with some of the characters. Jasmine said I’d make a good Jasmine with my look.

Oh and I had planned all along that I wanted a pair of Minnie ears. And when I got to the shop I saw these mermaid themed ones and knew instantly they were for me.

We managed to catch the parade in the day and night. I’d seen the parade on a Disney VHS I used to watch as a kid so it was amazing seeing it in real life. The parade in the evening was so cool though, it was basically a light show with lasers and flashing lights on all of the floats.

The day was topped off with the most ridiculously amazing firework display they have every night! BEST fireworks I’ve ever seen and probably will ever see. And that was when I realised. Disney Land was really a magical place.
