With the new year now in full swing it got me thinking about my goals and what I want to achieve. 2016 was a crazy year for me, a lot of key things happened such as buying my first house and quitting my job to become a full time blogger. I would never have imagined all of the things that happened to me in 2016, it’s truly amazing and I’m so proud of myself for my determination and hard work. And because of 2016, it’s got me so excited to see what 2017 will bring.
I thought I’d put together a list of goals that I want to aim for, and I thought it would be nice to share them all with you. Some of you have been following me for a while, so it’s quite nice to take you along the journey with me.
GROW MY YOUTUBE
I’ve been focusing more on my YouTube channel since leaving my full time job as it’s one social media channel I hadn’t been able to consistently post on. I have now got myself into a great routine of 3 videos per week (Tues, Thurs and Sun), but now it’s time to focus more on my branding and vision. I’ve felt a bit like I don’t really know where I’m going with my YouTube recently, so in the new year I want to get this right and focus on growing it.
INTRODUCE A WEEKLY VLOG
Still on the subject of YouTube, I’d like to start introducing a weekly vlog, showing all of you what I get up to. My weeks are never the same, I go to events, I travel, I take part in shoots etc. So I thought it might be another way of taking you on my journey with me.
BRAND COLLABORATIONS
This isn’t something I’ve done yet, but I’d love to work with a brand or a few brands in 2017 on actually creating product for you all. Whether that’s makeup, clothing or accessories, I would love the opportunity to be able to work a lot more closely with brands instead of just reviewing products.
TRAVEL MORE
To be honest, I actually travelled quite a lot in 2016, but I’d love to keep this going. I’m a big food lover, so travelling, eating good food and taking some amazing snaps with beautiful backdrops would be goals.
FESTIVALS
I really want to attend Coachella! I have wanted to for years, but I’ve never got round to it. If I could get the chance to go in 2017 that would be dreamy! I would also love to try Burning Man AND go back to Secret Garden Party as that was my best festival of 2016!
Right now, that pretty much sums up my goals for 2017. Those are the things that right now I’d love to achieve next year. I know I will discover new goals as time goes on, but I’ve got a few to keep me driven.
