I was really lucky to be invited to Paris with Claire’s last week, along with four other fabulous bloggers: Gina, Becca, Josie and Jodes. Gina and I went along to Dubai with Claire’s on another one of their #DestinationClaires trips in December, so it was amazing to be able to join the Claire’s team on another adventure.
It was my fourth time in Paris, but this time I was there to explore and enjoy some downtime. Our trip began at Kings Cross where we hopped on the Eurostar and enjoyed a cheeky breakfast in the Business lounge; we definitely began our travels in style. I love how quick and easy the Eurostar is; it only takes a few hours and it takes you into the heart of Paris.
We headed straight to Hotel Bauchaumont where we were staying for the night, checked in and enjoyed a delicious lunch of Parsnip Soup and Chicken and Mash; the food was much needed as we were to spend the afternoon sightseeing. Claire’s took us to all of the iconic spots: Notre Dam, Eiffel Tower, Louvre and even their two floor shop on Rue De Rivoli. We were even treated to a few bits in the store; I picked up some cute hair accessories and a turquoise ball nose ring.
We were meant to visit a few more spots before heading back to the hotel, but the weather was absolutely freezing. I think it was about minus 5! Way too cold to be outside all day long! We got back to our hotel around half 6 and had just over an hour to get ready for dinner. We enjoyed a banquet style dinner at La Derrière – which translate to bum – the restaurant even featured bum reference artwork which was humorous. It was definitely a quirky place to eat and the food was delicious.
On the second and final day, we were taken to Ken Club Spa to enjoy a day of relaxation. I had a cheeky full body massage, had a dip in the pool and we even took part in a yoga class – but I’m going to go more in detail about this in another blog post.
Overall I had a beautiful time in Paris with the Claire’s team and bloggers. Apart from the chilly weather the sun shone the whole two days we were there, so it was pretty much perfect! A fabulous first trip to 2017! And I can’t wait to work with Claire’s on even more opportunities… Keep your eyes out for more!
