Hi everyone, another post about outfits and clothes! Basically I had some spare time between styling meetings the other day, so I thought I would pop into Topshop’s flagship store on Oxford Street and try on some of their new stock. I thought it would be a fab way to give you all some inspiration and ideas of what to purchase next and how to style an outfit together.
I thought I would find 2 staple items such as bottoms – a pair of high waisted mom jeans in a dark denim and a statement pair of pastel, floral joni jeans… And might I add I have literally fallen in love with them! They are sooooo nice! And after checking out my different outfits you will realise too, that you can wear them with like anything! They are so versatile.
One I picked my staple pieces I then went around and chose a few tops/knitwear/sweaters and then I popped to the changing rooms to mix and match everything I had.

Here are a few different varieties of outfit looks with these staple pastel, floral joni jeans. I pulled clothing that matched the colour palette of the jeans, as the jeans are very busy, so combining plain tops with them really completes the look. My favourite look has to be the floral white shirt and yellow bralet with the jeans. I have shown 2 different ways in which to style this shirt, 1 by just having it undone and 2 just doing up the top button. I think I prefer the top button done up however each to their own.
I also love collars at the moment and had a fab idea of styling 2 knit tops together. A knit on knit. I thought it was a quirky idea and it definitely looks cool and in this spring weather will keep you warm if you choose not to wear a coat.
Here are the next outfit looks I created with the mom pair of staple jeans. Here I show that you can still wear the tops from the previous looks and they still look great combined with a darker denim. Do you agree?
I am also loving neoprene at the moment and spotted this FAB white neo jumper by Sister Jane in Topshop within their concessions department. I fell in love with it! I love the boxy shape it has and thought it looked stylish with the darker denim jeans. Here you can see I have shown the jumper tucked in and hanging loose. Which do you prefer? I am rather attracted to it hanging loose, only because you lose the boxy look to it, if it is tucked in… However it does still create a fab outfit tucked in!
