Hello everyone! Today is looking a bit dull isn’t it! So I thought I would brighten up everyone’s day with a splash of yellow. Wal G London were very kind to send me this amazingly cute Sheer Shift Swing Dress in yellow. I love the style and fit of it! The sleeves widen at the wrists giving a great cut and a rather 60s feel to it; a slight batwing sleeve. The shape of the dress is a skater style and I absolutely love these; they hide all your lumps and bumps around your mid and hips, which is perfect really! I know sometimes I like to discreetly hide those particular areas, especially if one is feeling bloated! Instead of just a plain yellow dress, Wal G London have added in extra detailing to set itself apart from other brands. Not only are the sleeves a great feature, but the sheer panels on the sleeves as well makes it a statement part of the garment and it ties in with the current fashion trends. See through materials are very much a strong summer trend right now.

I style this outfit in a few different ways. I feel this dress is very much a summery day dress, however paired with some heels it would be the perfect evening outfit, and possibly even for a wedding. I styled it with some cleated sandals – a big current trend – a statement gold chain and a floral crown. I love how the white sheer panels on the sleeves match the colour of the sandals; it brings the detailing in the outfit out. In regards to the floral crown, I used it in a photo shoot a few months ago in which I styled it as a necklace and thought it looked really cool… So I tried it out with this outfit and it acted like a collar and I think it works so well, it adds to the simple dress.
