So recently I have had a few birthdays at the weekends I have been a part of so I wanted to share my outfits with you all!
For the first birthday weekend, we went to a new club in central London called ‘Werewolf’ – and being central London you have the opportunity to get dressed up; which I absolutely love as being 23, I don’t tend to have many occasions I can get dulled up for. So preparing my outfit I went to Westfield Stratford and spent hours running around each shop, raiding the sales and getting stressed! I legit couldn’t find an outfit for so long until I went to Topshop – the last stop (I had already been in there 3 times though 😳)… But I eventually found a dress! FINALLY! I raided the sale rail and picked up every dress in a size 8 and tried them all on and fell in love with this one:
It fitted me perfectly and I love the holographic, metallic trend at the moment so it was a great find! And it was £70 reduced to £35… Until I got to the till when it was actually £20!!!! BARGAIN!! You gotta love a bargain! I was so happy! It was definitely meant to be!
On the night of the birthday, I styled the dress with a bindi, statement cross earrings, black heels and a waist belt. I decided to go quite grungey so opted for black smokey eyes and wet look hair. I used Fudge gel and wet my hair slightly to create the wet look effect, and just used my fingers to push the hair back. This look is definitely a fave of mine and the dress perfect for christmas time – what a great investment.
For the next weekend I had another birthday but this time back home in Essex. It was a garden party in a marquee for my friends 21st with a Thai theme. I didn’t really have anything Thai themed and recently won a competition with Pretty Little Thing, so decided to wear a dress from the winnings. I have never had the opportunity to go to Thailand, so am not really aware of the culture out there. But I decided to jazz up my outfit by accessorising. It’s slightly more of an indian theme but I think it worked well. I combined a body chain with statement earrings, bindis and a big nose ring. It was very over the top, but that’s what I love. A girl can’t have enough accessories. I opted for wet look hair again here as I wanted the focus to be on my face jewels so didn’t want hair in the way. To dress the look down, I decided to wear my crochet kimono style jacket and cleated white sandals. This look has to be my fave out of the first birthday outfit and this one. I have never had anything lilac coloured before but I love the shade on me!
I always love a good birthday because it means you can get dressed up and everyone looks and feels great! The birthdays were a blast and I can’t wait for whoevers is next! Bring it on!
Peace x
