Ok now I know it might sound gross, but I found an absolute find today by the bins outside my flat… I know, by the bins, I bet you’re all thinking that’s totally disgusting! I didn’t purposely go for a rummage, I just took some rubbish out and it happened to be there, sitting beautifully on the floor; a vintage Brother Typewriter!! What a find! I instantly picked it up with no hesitation and ran inside my flat with it! I am a sucker for anything vintage looking, I love old stuff. Things today are just too modern and have clean designs, whereas people used to put so much time and effort in designing something years ago making them look aesthetically pleasing as well as useful. Vintage finds are lovely to have, everything has a story. It makes me wonder who threw out the typewriter! I bet they didn’t realise that by chucking it out it was going to end up with a new owner! I definitely think it was fate that I took out my rubbish. I’m gonna give it a right old clean and it will now be a feature in my bedroom alongside my vintage Dansette record player.
