LONE WOLVES VINTAGE

Uncategorized

The lovely owner of an upcoming vintage brand, Lone Wolves Vintage sent me this amazingly, shiny red crop shirt & customised sport tee to style up for my blog. If you haven’t heard of them you should head over to their site and check out all the statement, vintage pieces they offer – they don’t just sell any old vintage, everything has been hand-picked by Lois, the owner. She has put care and thought into each item for her customers from the garment itself right down to the labelling and packaging. I just love receiving a parcel that you can tell someone has put a lot of effort into. The labels feature cute stamped wolves and Lois even popped a lollipop in my package too, bless her!

Styling up the red crop shirt, I opted for my fave metallic gold sport shorts, a staple white crop and cleated sandals. The shininess of the shorts complimented the shiny fabric of the crop shirt. I love complimenting fabrics within an outfit as I find it adds dimension and edge. With accessories, I styled the look with a staple gold chain and my statement round sunnies – the sun was shining so these were perfect.

The customised sport tee from Lone Wolves Vintage was actually Adidas but featured cut off sleeves with pink polka frills – it was such a clever way of customising this simple graphic tee. The pink frills took it from ‘in da hood’ to ‘girly’. Styling this tee up I wanted to go a bit out there, so I teamed it with my metallic mint high-waist trousers, cleated sandals, sheer pink socks, white vintage shoulder bag, gold chain and round sunglasses. My staple gold chain and sunglasses are fab accessories to have because they can be styled with absolutely anything and look great every time. I opted for the metallic trousers as the tee features a hint of mint in the graphics – tying in colours within a styled look is another fave tip of mine. It brings what might be an ‘out there’ outfit together. The pink sheer socks tied in nicely with the pink frills.

‘Vintage’ garments are a definite love of mine as I am one to stand out from the crowd. I love trying to be different and making a statement – its boring to be the same as everyone else. I also adore vintage because each piece holds and tells a story. It makes you think who must have had that piece before you? The detailing and quality of vintage garments is nowhere near as good as generic fast fashion pieces today. Each garment was handled with care years ago, I mean, do you think your Primark dress will become vintage and last 20 years? I personally don’t think so.
If your a lover of vintage then you MUST check Lois’s brand ‘Lone Wolves Vintage’ and if you can’t find anything you like on there, check out her sister brand ‘Husk Vintage’ – yup she’s a talented lady having two vintage brands.
