On Wednesday 10th September, my work, Flossy Style, held a monochrome themed event at The Milestone Hotel, Kensington to celebrate the launch of some of our latest additions to our range. The hotel’s conservatory made for the perfect venue as the whole room’s décor was themed in black and white. This didn’t happen by chance, I scoured the web to find the right place that matched our theme. It took me ages, but I got there in the end!
The venue was small but we soon filled it with fab fashion bloggers: Kitty, Georgina, Shannan, Adora, Charlotte, Lucia, Anna & Karolina. Our guests were greeted with a glass of Prosecco and offered canapés and monochrome nail art by The Illustrated Nail throughout the event. We made our #FlossyBlogger girls at home by mingling and chatting about all things fashion and their upcoming adventures for London, Paris & Milan.
As a gift from Flossy, we gave each of our bloggers a brand new pair of Flossy plimsolls from our monochrome range which they all put on at the event. They all fell in love with the strawberry scent, velvet feel and comfort of our shoes. The lovely PR teams at Batiste, Barry M & Vita Coco also chipped in and gifted our bloggers a monochrome bottle of dry shampoo (something every girl needs), black and white varnish and a carton of coconut water. Our event being so close to London Fashion Week sorted our blogger out with new nails, new shoes and fashion week essentials.
I organised the majority of the event from the location to the running of the event. I liaised with our PR company and they invited fab bloggers and helped me organise monochrome themed goody bags. I personally think the event went down a treat with our lovely bloggers and we received such great feedback. For Flossy’s first blogger event, it was a success!
