I have not had my nails properly done in god knows how long! And with Ibiza on the cards, I just had to be prepared and get them done especially.
I wanted my claws back so I found an affordable nail salon in Putney near my work and got acrylic nail extensions done for £25 – which for London is a good price! Some places I looked at were charging around £60 and I definitely could not afford that with Ibiza being so expensive.
For my nail art, I found a small salon in central London called ‘Jade Angel’, about a 5 minute walk from Oxford Circus station, so conveniently located. It was underneath a hairdressers which was fab as if you wanted a quick trim and your nails done, it was possible! They had everything under 1 roof.
As some of you may know, I work for Flossy Style, a footwear brand that originated from Spain and has recently become very popular on the island of Ibiza. We even shot our SS15 campaign over there this summer. So because I was heading out again and reviewing the closing parties for work, I wanted some cool Ibiza nails to come along with me.
Jade was absolutely lovely, she made me feel welcome and was very creative when it came to painting my nails. She, on the spot, came up with ideas and opted for an animal print design with glitter on 4 nails and 1 rock styled design on the 5th. She used a green to match my hair which was fab and a hot pink for the ring finger design. The animal print was a perfect choice as it matches one of our Flossy Style shoe designs – the zebra print Flossy. And the fact I’m actually going to the Zoo Project closing on Saturday, it’s perfect for that too.
I was so pleased with the design once she had finished. It definitely had Ibiza all over each nail.
