LFW: Day 1

Uncategorized

The panic and rush you feel first thing on day 1 of LFW is what I felt this morning. What to wear?! That was the question that ran through my mind. Whilst dulling myself up with make up creating smokey eyes and putting a bindi in place I kept thinking of different outfit options in my wardrobe. It didn’t help. I still opened my wardrobe and stared at all my clothes. I tried 1 look on, but you know when you’re just not feeling it… I instantly took it off and stared at the contents of my wardrobe again. Now last season I planned my outfits, but this time with moving flat and being busy with work I didn’t have time. Eventually I made a choice… A safe but quirky one. I opted for my motel rocks unitard. I have worn it before a lot, but I decided to go all out and really over accessorise to make a statement. I threw on my Element 7 body chai, Orelia necklaces, a loom band choker and Moxham chain. In terms of footwear, I was definitely NOT wearing heels. And boy am I glad I chose flats! My feet were in absolute agony by the end of the day! Imagine if I was wearing heels! I was actually lucky enough to get my look papped a few times today, so hopefully I’ll be able to find some great shots online.

So I set out at 9am and headed straight for Somerset House. I met my creative manager from Flossy Style outside and we spent some time handing out 20% discounts off our website. Once this was done, I was set to spend the days watching shows.

My show schedule was as follows:

The shows were a mixture between Freemasons Hall, Somerset House and a special location for Fyodor Golan near Waterloo. You forget how tiring it is queuing at the shows and walking around London. I was constantly on my feet so no wonder they hurt.

See below for my best photos from today’s shows and a little summary of each collection.
