On Thursday 6th November Boohoo held their Christmas Blogger party called #Nightsbeforexmas and I was lucky enough to be able to attend! Now some might say it’s too early for Christmas – I mean personally I think it is too, but who doesn’t love a themed party? I’ll make an exception just this once!
I was a bit nervous about going as I knew of a few bloggers through social media but had never had the opportunity of getting to personally know them – and I was going to the event on my own.
When I arrived – slightly early… I don’t know why but for some reason the tube was randomly quick in getting me from West London to East that night – I entered this wonderfully decorated, rustic pub. It had such a cosy feel to it and was called The Culpeper on Commercial St. Boohoo had decorated it all Christmassy with glitter, sparkles, dangly decorations in red, white & green and there was a beaut of a Christmas tree with glistening lights AND loads of red stockings underneath – it was all very very exciting. I was one of the first few to arrive and didn’t know the other bloggers there but that didn’t stop us from nattering away.
Whilst we waiting for everyone to arrive we were served with a warm white wine and apple drink – it was interestingly nice – one blogger said it tasted a bit like apple crumble, which weirdly it did… I’m not a big fan of drinking warm alcoholic drinks; I find it odd so just had a little sip of it to get me in the Christmassy mood.
Once there were quite a few of us we were all allowed upstairs to check out some of their collection – however one of the Boohoo girls said we could pick 1 piece from the rails, so the looking at the collection went straight at the window and everyone went for the fur coats! At first I picked up this oversized green sequin top as I thought it would look cool with my hair. But then it was rather on the long side and me being short, I didn’t think it would suit me much so I head over to the coat rail… And I was in luck, there was 1 fur coat left in a dark red and black stripe – so perfect for me! It had a 90s, rock vibe to it which completely goes with my style! Score!
After picking a wonderful present, Santa asked us for a selfie – #Santaselfie! Bless him, he was such a good Santa, he kept up his act (lol) and told us all about his elves, he was rather on the ball with fashion related conversation. We had a cute photo with him wearing props and then headed to the bar for a drink. And of course I went for a Gin & Tonic – my go to beverage. All of you who know me, know I can’t drink voddy! It literally gives me THE worst hangovers! Gins okay, still get hangovers but they’re never as bad.
After nattering away and meeting so many lovely bloggers it was time for dinner. YUP! Boohoo had sorted out a wonderful Christmas dinner for us all complete with Turkey, roasties, veg and stuffing – my fave! We all had a secret Santa gift waiting for us on one of the tables and we had to find our name. I was sat next to some absolutely lovely bloggers – they were all so welcoming and friendly. We all got on really well and had a blast. Some of the conversations were rather interesting – but I suppose they have to be around a Christmas meal. The dinner was delish and desert was even more delish! Chocolate log roll! Now I never really opt for chocolate deserts – and before you all say WHAT!!! I’m just not a big fan of chocolate flavoured desserts, I’d rather have a chocolate bar – see I do like chocolate! But I was adventurous and tried the log roll and to my amazement it was absolutely AMAZING! Best choccie dessert ever!
Once the meal ended Santa came around and handed out a stocking to each and everyone of us – bless him! Best Santa ever! There were some great treats in the stocking…
- Models One nail varnish
- #Nightsbeforexmas jumper
- #Nightsbeforexmas beauty bag
- Nip + Fab serum
- Face mask
- An orange
- Mini chocolates
- Mini Gordons gin
It was such a lovely treat! Also for my secret Santa present I got a cute brown, fur bobble hat! Perfect for winter! It’s getting so much colder now isn’t it.
At the end when everyone was leaving there were a few items of clothing left upstairs so I went and had a last minute look and grabbed a silver dress – perfect for a Christmassy night out – and a cute, staple white mini handbag.
All in all we were spoilt by Boohoo so I just wanted to say a massive thank you for letting me come along and join in the festive fun, and for the whole event. It was so lovely meeting so many new faces and getting on instantly with them all. Bring on another Christmas party I say!
Peace x
