Urban Cult is a jewellery brand specialising in ‘handmade bohemian grunge style jewellery inspired by anything magical and mystical’ – and I LOVE IT!
It’s very 90s and bang on trend right now. As you can probably tell from my Blog/Instagram, my style is inspired by elements of the 90s – especially my jewellery. I really love anything cultural like buddhas, fatimas and the evil eye. I love embracing religion and culture from other parts of the world into my style. Although I may not be from that particular religion I just love using elements to style up my looks – you’ve probably noticed me wearing Bindi’s a lot… I LOVE BINDIS! I have a thing for them. They became really popular this summer especially with festivals but they’re starting to fizzle out now. However I’m still hooked and will be for a while. I just love over-accessorising and face gems are the answer!
Some people might get offended that I wear certain symbols even though it’s not my religion. Some people have been offended by me wearing Bindis – but I tell you now, I used to live in an Indian cultured area in London and they always complimented me. I think they loved the fact we were embracing their culture and not frowning upon it like some people do.
Anyhow, back to Urban Cult! I received a fab range of products from them and I LOVE THEM ALL! So. Many. Chokers. I. LOVE. CHOKERS!!!
