Dazzle & Jolt – a fashion brand that loves colour and quirky graphics – began as a glittering idea between two friends in a North London flat with a fat cat named Jarvis. They offer a range of basic garments such as tees, sweatshirts, leggings and skirts with a twist – featuring playful, bold prints.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on 3 items from their collection!!! I love their use of geometric shapes with animals and food – their prints stand out which is what I love about them. I’m a girl who loves to try and stand out in the way I dress and style my looks – it is very difficult to do as a lot of fashion brands just sell the same thing – but that’s why I love independent brands like Dazzle & Jolt. You can have something niche that not many other people have.
Styling up the looks I wanted to jazz my make-up up a bit, so I opted to brighten my lips with my pastel Mac lipstick called ‘St Germain‘ and Mac’s lip liner ‘Beet‘ to blend around the edges.
The first garment I styled up is their ‘Cosmic Cat T-shirt’ – I adore the cat faces within the graphic, soooo cute! Styling it up I decided to opt for my lime roll neck basic top to layer underneath. I’m a big fan of high neck tops and they’re an essential for everyones winter wardrobe. The tee came up quite long on me so I thought I’d turn it into a dress and pair my…. YUP, thigh high boots with it. Honestly these boots go with everything – I’ve said it before but they really do.
The second garment I styled up is their ‘Bear With Me Mini Skirt‘, which is sooooo cool with it’s fab, bold, circus themed graphic. I love the symmetricalness of it and the fact that there are so many colours in the print that you can style the skirt with pretty much anything. I decided to pair my tinsel Motel Rocks top with the skirt as the purple colour complimented the skirt. And then again my thigh high boots to finish off the look. With the skirt being rather mini, I thought it would better if most my legs were covered up and there was hardly any skin showing.
The last garment I styled was their ‘Out Of This World’ sweatshirt in a galaxy, cosmic print. I wanted to dress down this garment as the previous two were dressed up and I wanted to show you all that this brand’s collection can be worn day and night. I paired the sweatshirt with my pastel Topshop Joni Jeans and White 90s Kicker shoes from Footasylum. Instead of leaving the jumper hanging down or tucking it in, I grabbed a hair band and tied a knot with it to the side. I love trying to wear an item of clothing differently and with these jeans being high waisted making the jumper cropped works better with the look.
I think you all need to head over to Dazzle & Jolt and check out their collection! You won’t be disappointed!
What’s your fave look out the 3?
Peace
