I was recently approached to take part in a style challenge for a new fashion label called ‘Love Holly‘. Now I love a challenge and I love styling, so I just had to take part!!
I was allowed to choose 1 thing from their site to style up into a look. Love Holly offers simple, effortless pieces so I opted for an oversized drop waist dress in black. Styling it up I wanted to give it a Sophie edge so I paired my white mesh socks, chunky Linzi sandals, statement necklace and monochrome print backpack with the look. I do love a bit of edgy monochrome so this was the look I was going for.
The print on the backpack really ties this look together as otherwise it would be too plain and simple for what I like; having greeny blue hair also helps this. The dress is rather oversized and long for my short body, so pairing it with these chunky, platform sandals gives me extra height and lengthens my legs. Thank you to whoever came up with platforms. All the height and no pain! I hate wearing heels.
I really love the look I have put together. It’s so much fun when you have a simple, basic garment to work with. You can do so much with it.
