The other day I splashed a bit of cash and bought a white liner I have been wanting for ages! I have been spotting a lot of cool makeup looks using a white liner so just had to get my hands on one.
I purchased this liner from Boots – a Rimmel London ‘White Eye Liner’ in Soft Kohl. The soft kohl liners are great as you don’t have to press hard for the colour to come out.
I have been using Pinterest a lot lately and just pinning specific makeup looks I love in the hope that I will recreate a look one day in the future. I have pinned quite a lot of lip looks on there and some of those used a white liner to lighten their lip shade or give their lips highlights or an ombre effect. I wanted to give this a go so I pulled together some inspiration and grabbed my Illasmaqua ‘Disciple‘ lippy.
First of all I lined my lips using a black liner, then I put some lip balm on and then the Illamasqua navy lipstick – it’s very very matte so to get the colour smoothly on your lips you need some sort of base. Then I blended the black liner around the edge of my lips again and then applied the white liner on the inside of my lips to create an ombre effect. I think it worked well and I love the loo I achieved!
