THE PARTY SEASON IS HERE

With the party season in full swing every girl needs a new dress!

I’ve created my own ‘party dress’ look book to give you all inspiration on the styles of dresses you could wear this season. With Christmas parties, NYE and nights out coming up for everyone, we’ve all gotta look fab haven’t we?!

I’ve put together my fave 5 looks from my wardrobe that are perfect for the party season. You’ll spot lace, sequins, sparkles, metallics and holographics – all elements that work so well for a party dress!

DRESS 1: AMERICAN APPAREL

This lycra skater dress is fab for as a party dress. It’s not overly dressy so perfect for a meal out leading on to a few drinks at a bar. It’s a lovely colour for Christmas as well and you can accessorise with pretty much anything. I love the halter neck and the fact it’s backless, it’s very flattering for girls with small chests like me.

DRESS 2: BOOHOO

You can probably tell I’m not wearing a bra here… I definitely should have been though! Anyway this dress is great for the Christmas period. The embellishment on the collar is a nice touch and the metallic silver colour works great with the Christmas theme and makes a statement. A great dress for a Christmas night out! DRESS 3: TOPSHOP

Now this is one of my FAVE dresses! I got it a while ago in Topshop’s summer sale, it’s one of their premium pieces and it was an absolute bargain for £20!! It had £35 on the tag but when I got to the till the lady said £20 – don’t you just love it when that happens? This dress fitted me perfectly too and looks really cool with my hair. I love anything that’s a statement and bold. I love the holographic colour to it, this makes it a perfect party dress. I will actually be wearing this on Xmas Day Eve as my BFs family gets all dulled up and has a posh meal!

DRESS 4: MOTEL ROCKS

This dress looks wicked with my hair if I might say so! I have a thing for matching my green hair with green clothes at the moment. Again, this is another statement dress – you can probably see a connection with all my dresses. Annoying having so many statement dresses though because I hate wearing them twice too close together! I’m sure every girl is like me and has to have something new to wear every time they go out! Motel Rocks do fab party dresses and they’re really good quality. I love this one because the sequins make it girly, but then you’ve got a bit of an edge from the mesh. And if you know me I love trying to have a bit of an edge to my styling. I got this dress for quite cheap from one of their Sample Sales this year, but you can find similar styles online.

DRESS 5: JONES AND JONES

Now this is a stunning party dress PERFECT for Christmas! It is quite dressy so great for those extra special occasions or NYE. I love the lace neckline and sleeves; the back of this is also all lace! So it’s very flattering and provocative – if you’re on the pull this Christmas! Or if your looking for that perfect black tie dress to match your boy in his suit this would also work for that too! This lacey dress has got a witchy, grunge vibe to it so teaming it with a dark red, vampy lip and smokey eyes makes the perfect overall look. The link above takes you to the blue version of this dress but I’m sure they have the black one available somewhere, possibly Topshop on Oxford St.
