INSPIRED BY INDIA

I absolutely love the fashion part of Indian culture, it amazes me. I am absolutely stunned and overwhelmed by all of their jewels and embellished saris. They are beautifully pretty.

As you can probably tell from my Instagram and previous blog posts I have a ‘thing’ for Bindis and Tikkas! I always wear them on nights out and I feel lost without them now; it looks like my make up just isn’t finished. You can get an array of colours, styles and sizes; from stick on Bindis to clip on jewelled Tikkas, you can have so much fun with them. Recently I hit up We Are Fstvl where I went all out and wore a wedding style Bindi which consists of jewels not only in the centre of your forehead but above and along your brows. I loved it, and got some really lovely compliments.

Last night my flat mate wore a Bindi to our local supermarket and the lady behind the counter was Indian and loved my flat mates Bindi! She informed my friend about where there is a great place near by in London where we can get them for cheap so today we went to find out.

The tube stop was Upton Park on the District Line and you turn left out the station and if you just walk down the high st there you will come across tonnes of Indian fashion and accessory shops. Honestly they were amazing! So so so much bling!! I fell in love with everything, especially their earrings!! Some reasonably priced, however some things were expensive. We found a great little one though that was cheap and I bought a few statement Bindis and what I had been wanting for agesss… A Nikka (nose ring). I bought a mini gold one and one with a pearl chain which attaches to your hair! They are so so cool! I cannot wait to wear them out!

If your inspired by Indian fashion and culture then I would definitely recommend visiting Upton Park area. I WILL be going back!
