EMBELLISHED

Last night I went to an exclusive launch party at the brand spanking new club, Roxx Club in central London (above Libertine). It was very small, but really quirky inside. They had elements of graffiti art combined with a rocky edge. Kind of like a mash up of Hard Rock Cafe and Ink London (Pro Greens ex club). It’s definitely something a bit different for central London. Somewhere for all the rich East London kids.

Anyway, I didn’t want to dress up too much, so I kept it cool by wearing some high waisted trousers; but having them in a metallic shimmer made them more dressy and going out. The trousers are part of a two piece from Motel Rocks which you may have seen in a previous post. However I wanted to see what else I could wear them with, so I raided my wardrobe and found this navy mesh embellished crop top which I hadn’t worn for ages! It went perfectly, especially both garments being shades of blue. The top actually used to be a peplum but it was a struggle to get it over my chest so i cut the peplum section off and I actually prefer it! Weirdly I got it a few years ago, but it’s very current with this seasons trends. Because of the see through-ness I decided instead of wearing a nude bra, I would wear a black bandeau. I thought it worked well and added something extra into the look. Accessory wise you know I love a bindi, so I had to put one of them on! Then I wore rings (midi and normal), some dangly earrings and a pearl necklace. Shoe wise I opted for my Jeffrey Campbell’s. Some white heels would have been perfect but I’m still on the hunt for some of them!
Hair wise I crimped it using straighteners and with my make up I did a smokey eye but using brown shades from my Naked 2 palette.
