So everyone… I DID IT! I was brave and went under the scissors. And I love it!!! I am so glad I just went for it, you only live once eh.
I did get nervous when I got to the hairdressers though. You know that sicky, butterfly feeling you get in your belly whilst your sitting in the waiting area of the hairdresser waiting for your stylist to come and grab you. My heart jumped when he said he was ready. However you do get settled after a nice head massage – that’s always the best bit about going to the hairdressers; it’s so relaxing.
I’m based in London now and have never found a good hairdressers I like and continue to go to like some of my friends. The only hair stylist I know in London is a close friend of my boyfriends, William Hunt – go check him out, you might recognise his name from magazines such as Rough as he styles the hair for a lot of editorials for them. He also works for the salon Gielly Green in central London and that’s where I got the cut.
I went in knowing I wanted a bob but wasn’t sure if I wanted a fringe, shaved parts or even how short. Will opted to stick with a bit of length on my locks so we went for the Lob as it is a lot more versatile than a shorter bob cut. It means I can still style my hair and work with it, which I think I will actually prefer.
