LFW DAY 2

On the 2nd day of London Fashion Week, I attended an event at the Marylebone Hotel in central London. This was an exclusive invite only event to bloggers/stylists/industry professionals. It was held on behalf of Aspinal of London and Glamour Magazine. This one off event was hosted by TV presenter Angela Scanlon and included blogger La Petite Anglaise in conversation with GLAMOUR’s Executive Fashion Director, Claudia Mahoney on the subject of street style. They explored areas such as the extremes people go for street style, dressing your personality and the current street style trends. I saw a lot of tailoring this LFW.

JOHN ROCHA
Next up on the agenda was the John Rocha show. It featured lace, frills, oversized head and shoulder pieces, statement looks, netting, ruffles, mesh, velvet and crochet. I absolutely loved the mesh, ruffled head pieces some of the models were wearing, they were so eye-catching. I met a lovely blogger during the show and her dad was a hair stylist back stage and asked me to go back with her! A wonderful opportunity to see what was going on behind the scenes – it looks so hectic! They have such a small space to get ready in.

After John Rocha I was meant to have 2 more shows at the Freemasons Fashion Scout… However the PR company running the 2 shows over ticketed and made us queue for 45 minutes in the rain and freezing cold to tell us that they couldn’t let us in… I was so cold and angry I just ended up calling it a day there. It was a shame but then I did get to see John Rocha and go back stage.
